MEASURED MILES | PERSONAL PROJECT
A collaboration with friend Roland Ellis to explore how cyclists react differently to objects, sounds and textures of the road, adjusting bikes and path in a personal way. By taking some simple measurements we looked to build a picture of how we cycle in the space we have. The project used the physical computing platform Arduino along with Ultrasound rangefinders, accelerometer and hall effect sensor to capture the data of a cycle journey. This was then stored on a micro flash drive before importing into Cinema 4D using Xpresso to dynamically effect 3d particles. The Project was displayed at Look Mum No Hands before a Film Premiere.
The project is ongoing, the next steps are an inclosure for the physical capturing device and explorations in 3D
